What if the most powerful proof of Upwork's platform wasn't a client success story, but Upwork itself? Enter Upwork by Upwork: showcasing how Upwork is one of their own biggest clients, actively using the Upwork the platform to source talent, accelerate workflows, and drive innovation.
Tapped to craft the visual identity for the campaign, I drew inspiration from a subtle insight. The x in "Upwork X Upwork" wasn't just a lock-up, it was a system waiting to be unlocked. By deconstructing the X into individual parts, a plus, an arrow, a slash, and a chevron, the system was quickly infused with meaning: collaboration, outreach, and hybrid workers bridging the gap. The result was a unified visual system that extended across GTM and enterprise marketing, contributing to $300K in new sales opportunities.
